Comprehensive Eye Disease Care
At Invision Eye Clinic, we utilize advanced diagnostic technology to detect, monitor, and manage a wide range of ocular conditions. Early detection and proper management are crucial for preserving your vision.
Ocular Conditions We Manage
- Diabetic Retinopathy: Both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can manifest in changes to the retina and ultimately to perceived vision. Small areas of bleeding can lead to larger issues if not identified early and managed appropriately.
- Glaucoma: Through various mechanisms, changes in pressure in the eye can lead to damage to the optic nerve. Early and regular testing can help identify the damage before vision becomes affected.
- Macular Degeneration: Age related deterioration that can occur in the central region of vision causing blurring and distortion. Retinal risk factors, if identified early, can promote steps to mitigate the changes and help preserve vision.
- Retinal Tears and Detachments: A tear in the retinal tissue that can lead to a full detachment from the underlying cells if left undiagnosed.
- Keratoconus: A progressive thinning and bulging of the cornea that can cause reduced vision due to high levels of astigmatism. Often need specialty lenses to help improve visual acuity.
Our Diagnostic Technology
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): A non-invasive scan and image of the inner layers of the retina used to detect and manage various retinal conditions
- OCT-Angiography: A newer cutting edge version of the traditional OCT that also provides a microscopic mapping of the retinal blood vessels to detect leakage and swelling. Considered to be the future of early detection for changes from conditions such as diabetes and macular degeneration.
- Visual Field Testing: Wide range of testing protocols to examine the sensitivity and width of vision. Used to help screen for neurological issues and defects.
- Fundus Imaging: Both traditional digital imaging and newer fundus autofluorescence are utilized to assess and monitor the retina.
- Anterior Segment OCT: OCT style scanning of the cornea and drainage system of the eye for better diagnosis and management of conditions such as open and narrow angle glaucoma.
