Is Laser Eye Surgery Right for You?
Laser vision correction can reduce or eliminate your dependence on glasses and contact lenses. At Invision Eye Clinic, we provide thorough pre-operative consultations to help you make an informed decision about refractive surgery.
Types of Refractive Surgery
- LASIK: The most common procedure, using a laser to reshape the cornea beneath a thin flap
- PRK: A similar procedure to LASIK, but instead of creating a flap, a surface ablation procedure is performed to allow for corneal reshaping. May be more suitable for patients with thin corneas.
- SMILE: A newer and more minimally invasive procedure that uses a small incision to remove a section of the cornea to allow for it to be reshaped.
- ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens): A lens implant for high prescriptions or those unsuitable for laser surgery
- Refractive Lens Exchange: Replacing the natural lens, often for presbyopia correction
Pre and Post Operative Care
After your comprehensive eye exam, we will discuss all your vision correction options. We will arrange a referral to your desired laser centre and coordinate with their staff to find out if you are a candidate for laser eye surgery.
After your surgery, we provide comprehensive follow-up care to monitor your healing and ensure the best possible outcome. Our team will be with you every step of the way.
